Elliot gets life, not eligible for parole until 2034

William Elliot’s sentencing hearing ended with the judge handing the 26-year-old a life sentence without parole eligibility for 20 years for killing Karrie Ann Stone and Tyeshia Jones.

The hearing for Elliot concluded at the supreme court in Duncan on Friday after five days.

Elliot pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the deaths of the 42-year-old Stone in 2010 and 18-year-old Jones in 2011.

The Crown had been asking for 25 years.
