Firefighters tame garage fire in Shawnigan Lake

Firefighters are still searching for the cause of a fire that occurred this Wednesday afternoon in a garage of a residence on West Shawnigan Lake Road.

SUNFM reached fire chief Keith Shields on the scene as the Shawnigan Fire Department was in the process of mopping up.

Shields says they were able to contain the flames from spreading outside of the garage.

He adds nobody was home at the time of the fire.
