Cow Valley teachers remain positive on picket line

Educators in the Cowichan Valley remain positive on the picket line days after a full-scale teachers strike began in all BC public schools.

So says the Cowichan Valley Teachers Association President Naomi Nillson.

She says they have stopped receiving strike pay, however, they are not letting that impact their ultimate goal.

In terms of negotiations, the BCTF is calling on the Clark government to appoint labour relations expert Vince Ready as mediator in the on-going contract dispute.
