Rock of the Woods to go ahead

It appears the Rock of the Woods festival will go ahead despite much opposition to it.
The CVRD Director for the area, Loren Duncan admits he has received numerous complaints from people living in the area worried about vandalism and noise.
But, he says, his hands are tied…..
The problem, Duncan says is, the CVRD requires operators to get a permit for an event like this, if more than 5 hundred people will be attending.
The promoters of the event claim less than that will be on site and have therefore managed to circumvent the permit process which would have included a public hearing.
