Kinder Morgan rep talks to Chamber members today

Members of the Duncan/Cowichan Chamber of Commerce will hear from Kinder Morgan about their application to expand the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
The expansion would mean an increase in tanker traffic out of the company’s Westridge marine terminal in Port Metro Vancouver.
Kinder Morgan has held public consultation on the issue including workshops, consultations, face-to-face meetings, and online.
Mike Davies, the Senior Director, Marine Development for the Trans Mountain Expansion Project says based on that consultation, the company has identified a public interest in enhanced marine safety measures beyond the current regime.
Davies will provide the background and an overview on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project, including anticipated economic effects to the Chamber crowd that gathers to hear him speak today (Wed) at the Quamichan Inn.
