Craft liquor not likely to appear in farmers markets overnight

Wine, beer, cider and spirit producers have been requesting booths at farmers markets for a long time.

Following a new batch of Liquor Policy Review changes at the provincial level that will now be allowed.

However, President of the Wine Island Growers Association, Janet Docherty says nothing will be changing overnight….

The province says with the change in regulations they are adopting a community centred approach as liquor manufacturers will have to apply directly to farmers markets where they want to sell their products and it will be up to the market association whether or not to allow it.
