Cow Valley School District Board to have 7 trustees

The Cowichan Valley School District Board will have seven trustees this fall after elections on November 15th.

Education Minister Peter Fassbender signed a Ministerial Order as a result of community input over the past two years regarding the size of the board, including written and verbal submissions that were forwarded by Official Trustee Mike McKay.

The superintendent of School District 79 is Joe Rhodes.

Rhodes says McKay will remain in his governance role until the new board is sworn in after elections.
