The Cowichan Watershed Board has made numerous presentations in the last couple of weeks with the goal of promoting and encouraging water conservation in the valley.
A well driller and member of the board is David Slade.
He says he reached out to small and large water purveyors about taking part in a conservation challenge.
Slade says Ladysmith’s current domestic water use levelĀ is 246 litres per day, which is about 75 litres below the Canadian average.
