Car thieves at large in North Cow/Duncan area

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are being kept busy with an unusual number of thefts from vehicles lately.

Police say in less thanĀ a 24 hour period, seven vehicles were reported to have been broken into in the same general area.

Everything from wedding supplies to a dirt bike are missing at the hands of what police suspect to be two thievesĀ but they are not ruling out that others may be at play.

Witnesses have reported seeing a male and a femaleĀ about the area north west of the soccer fields off SomenosĀ Road where the thefts have occurred.

Palahi Road has seen the most thefts.
