Female facing charges for North Cow/Duncan thefts

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say a 22-year-old female is facing charges following a string of break-ins and thefts over the last three weeks.

Police say the female and her 31-year-old male associate were brought into custody by police on Wednesday night after yet another report that multiple vehicles and sheds had been broken into overnight and property stolen.

The Mounties say Amanda Hawkins has been formally charged with possession of stolen property while her associate was released by the courts on Thursday afternoon but still faces drug related charges.
