Coastal Fire Centre ready to lift ban

It’s good news for campers. You’ll be able to roast some marshmallows on Labour Day weekend.
The Coastal Fire Centre is lifting the campfire ban, as of noon Thursday.
Fire Information Officer Marg Drysdale says although warm, dry weather continues changes in other conditions are allowing them to lift the ban.
Drysdale says although the ban is being lifted people should be especially careful this weekend. She points out that even though it’s been a slow season in the Island-Coastal region, most of the fires have been caused by human carelessness.
And, just a reminder that municipal bans and regulations take priority over Coastal Fire Centre rules.
