The province has announced its tripling the childcare maintenance fund for licenced family daycare and in-home daycare facilities.
The one point two million dollars in funding allows care providers to maintain their facilities and ensure they meet licencing standards.
The new guidelines allow staff at care facilities to make emergency repairs and apply for reimbursement after the fact.
The old system required providers to apply for funding before conducting any emergency repairs.
