Cowichan Valley students protest education dispute

A group of about 20 students protested on Wednesday outside of Cowichan Secondary School in light of theĀ on-going labour dispute between the BCTF and the government that has spilled into what was scheduled to be the first week of the new school year.

One of the students that wasĀ at the demonstration is Kristen.
Another student thatĀ spoke up about the situationĀ is Chloe.

School was scheduled to beginĀ on Tuesday, however, as a result of the labour dispute teachers are back on the picket lines after the mediator hired to help negotiate talks between the two sides walked way over the weekend.
