One Man in Custody Following Stabbing at Tent City

Last night, RCMP responded to a stabbing at Nanaimo’s tent city.

Constable Gary O’Brien explains what happened.

O’Brien says it’s not uncommon for things like this to happen at tent city, but police monitor the area regularly.

The victim was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries and O’Brien says anyone with information is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
