Big upgrades to Kerry Park Rec Centre finished

The major components of the almost three million dollar renovations to the Kerry Park Recreation Centre are complete.

The CVRD’s division manager for South Cowichan Recreation, Kim Liddle, says they finished the arena ice slab, boards and new glass as well as new flooring throughout the facility.

She adds the centre opened for the new ice season last week.

Liddle says work is still being done on some of the heat recovery systems that could be finished by the end of October.
