North Cow, Duncan likely won't have same ballot question for boundary restructure study

The Municipality of North Cowichan has decided what non-binding referendum question in regards to a boundary restructure study will be placed on its ballot for residents to vote in favour of or against at November’s municipal elections.
Mayor Jon Lefebure says the decision was made at Wednesday’s council meeting.
A joint council meeting between Duncan and North Cowichan earlier this month failed to bring the two sides closer to agreeing on a singular non-binding referendum question that would go on both ballots.
Lefebure says at this point he doesn’t think the two sides can agree to a singular question.
