CVRD launches new website on water shortage's impact on Cow River

The Cowichan Valley Regional District has created a new website for information regarding the serious water shortage affecting the Cowichan River.

The CVRD’s manager of environmental initiative is Kate Miller.

She says www.flowdown.ca provides education on why there are low river flow conditions, why it’s a problem for the region and what is being done to address impacts.

Miller adds the website includes updated information on four key indicators.
She says the site includes a water gauge that provides an up-to-date status of the current water levels.
