Premier says feds need to come to the table on ferries

Premier Christy Clark says it’s time to get the federal government to the table when it comes to paying for BC Ferries.

Clark made the comments after her speech this morning at the Union of BC Municipalities.

UBCM delegates are unanimously calling for fare rollback, and a return to 2013 service levels.   Clark says federal gas tax money could help get the cost of ferries down.

Clark also repeated a pledge from Transportation Minister Todd Stone that after the current contract with BC Ferries is done, fare increases will be pegged to the inflation rate.
