77-year-old woman found safe near Ladysmith

Search crews near Ladysmith have found a missing 77-year-old woman safe and sound.
Doris Herman was seperated from her daughter and granddaughter while mushroom picking north of Ladysmith on Sunday. Volunteers went looking for her Sunday night but were unsuccessful. Crews from Arrowsmith, Cowichan Valley and Nanaimo joined the search on Monday and they also put out the call for volunteers through social media.
Nanaimo resident Jennifer King heard about the search through Facebook, so she and her husband went to help out.
King says she’s impressed by the response from the community and she’s glad the story has a happy ending.
