Fortis BC is asking the public to continue the good work, reducing the use of natural gas.
The request came following a natural gas pipeline explosion north of Prince George, and while the pipeline has been repaired and industrial customers have started operating again, gas prices are expected to remain very high for a while.
While gas has started flowing through the repaired line, they are only partial flows and customers are asked to turn off their thermostats, natural gas fireplaces, and limit the use of hot water as well.
