Charities to benefit from walk

The annual Lake to Lake Walk and Marathon raised almost 12,500 dollars for a variety of charitable organizations in the Valley.

127 people participated in the 42 point 2 kilometre Cowichan Valley Trail that goes from the West Shawnigan Lake Park to the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.

The majority of participants completed the event in eight to nine hours, but there were those who ran the Cowichan Valley Trail at a competitive marathon pace and finished in under 4 hours.
