Mayoral candidate offers congratulations

Joyce Behnsen, who finished in third place in the North Cowichan mayoral race, has offered her congratulations to the newly elected councilors.

She’s also thanking those who supported her in her bid for the top job.

Behnsen says she enjoyed campaigning and hearing the concerns and expectations from residents of North Cowichan.

She says she’s looking forward to citizens concerns being addressed.

Those include the complaints about Coast Environmental Smells in Chemainus, the noise emanating from the VIMC Motor Sport Track on Highway 18 and for the residents of Genoa Bay who need a safe, reliable water supply.
