An independent report looking into BC’s Labour Relations Code has made 29 recommendations.
The report, now public, recommends amendments to the Labour Relations Code including a look into union certification processes, dispute resolutions, successorship, unfair labour practices, and arbitration procedures.
Minister of Labour Harry Bains said the last full review of the code was way back in 1992.
The release of this report followed consultation with British Columbians, businesses, and labour organizations.
