Warm coat collection underway

The Rotary Club of Duncan Daybreak coat drive is underway.

The Club is looking for donations of adult and children’s warm coats, scarves, hats and mittens.

Member Keith Grey said this is the third year for the coat drive.

“There are several of us that go around to the drop off spots and we take the coats to the Salvation Army. They give out the coats to people in need. They are given out, they are not sold, Salvation Army has a store but the coats are not sold.”

Grey said there were hundreds of coats donated last year and they were all given out.

The deadline to drop off used coats is November 15th.

You can drop coats off at Greg’s RV Place, Island Savings in the Duncan Mall, McFrugal’s Discount Outlet, RBC on Trunk Road, Sports Traders, The Citizen, Copycats or Discovery Honda.
