Time to “fall back”

Daylight savings time won’t be coming to an end anytime soon in B.C.

A proposal to discontinue the time-change was approved by the Union of BC Municipalities delegates back in September.

Premier John Horgan said he has been surprised how many British Columbians have contacted him about the issue but it’s not on the table.

“I’ve received literally thousands of interventions from the public on this question. I know it’s a passionate issue, but there are complications to our trading arrangements, there are complications to being on the same time as the people you are dealing with on a business day.”

This is the weekend when we turn our clocks back one hour.

The official time change is at 2 am Sunday morning.
