Drug Bust in Nanaimo

The Nanaimo RCMP Drug Unit has completed theirĀ investigation at a home on Metral Drive.

It all started, Mounties say, when a stolen truck was spotted leaving the property.

Police stopped the truck and arrested two men, aged 34 and 37, who were also in possession of opioids, cocaine and methamphetamine, along with a 22 calibre handgun and a magazine.

The driver of the truck has been charged with 13 counts of drug and firearm-related offences.

At the house where it all began, two women, aged 35 and 41, were arrested and face drug-related charges.

The search of the home located a number of illegal drugs suspected of being opioids, cocaine and methamphetamine.
