Eligible voters should have a voting package for the referendum on electoral reform by now.

Those who don’t should contact Elections B.C. and have until November 23rd to do so.

The packages have to be returned to Elections B.C. by the end of the month and those that arrive after the deadline of November 30th will not be counted.

Elections BC is now posting the number of returned ballot packages on a daily basis.

In our listening area, the best return rate, so far, is in Nanaimo/North Cowichan where 3 point one per cent of the ballots have been returned.

That number is 2 point 8 per cent in Nanaimo, 3 point one per cent in the Cowichan Valley and point 3 in the Powell River/Sunshine Coast constituency.
