Fortis BC Pipeline Operating at 55 per cent Capacity

Fortis BC is still experiencing complications from an incident involving a gas line rupturing near Prince George about a month ago.

A spokesperson with the utility company said that while the pipeline was repaired, it’s only operating at 55 per cent capacity and concerns about how the company is going to keep British Columbians warm when faced with the colder weather abound.

Fortis is looking to the open market to increase the capacity of gas coming from that line.

British Columbians are asked to remain vigilant when it comes to conserving natural gas.
