The City of Duncan recently handed out four awards.

Hazura Sangha was recognized for excellence and sportsmanship.

Sangha’s twentieth trip to the 55 and over BC Games was amazing, as he won gold in all five of his events, those being the 400, 800, and 15 hundred metre run, along with gold in the five and ten-kilometre races.

Leanne Closon was recognized with the Scroll of Honour for her dedication to coaching. She volunteers with the Duncan Junior Baseball Association, the Cowichan Valley Football Association, and is part of a dragon boat team.

Sheila and Jim Johnson won the Perpetual Arts Trophy while Judy Hill was recognized with a Scroll of Honour.
