Ministry seeks to address parking issues at Cathedral Grove

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure wants to know what to do about parking issues at Cathedral Grove.

The Grove is located in MacMillan Provincial Park.

It’s an old growth forest found along Highway 4 that’s become a local, national and international attraction, with roughly 500,000 visitors per year.

However, as the park’s popularity continues to grow, so too have issues surrounding pedestrian safety and parking alongside the highway.

An online survey on the topic will be up and running before the end of this month.

The ministry anticipates sharing the initial safety concepts from the public in the spring of 2019.
