Is Ebola likely to show up on Vancouver Island?

Possible, but not likely, according to Dr. Paul Hasselback the Medical Health Officer for the mid-Island.


Island Health also says it’s been responding to concerns raised by the BC Nurses Union that front-line health care workers aren’t getting enough training in how to handle potential Ebola cases. Fresh training sessions are underway and new supplies and safety equipment for staff are coming in.
