Two senior staff members at the B.C. Legislature have been suspended while the RCMP conduct an investigation.
Clerk of the House, Craig James and Sergeant-at-Arms, Gary Lenz were escorted out of the building after question period yesterday (Tues).
B.C. Solicitor General Mike Farnworth says the men were suspended after a unanimous vote in the legislature.
The nature of the investigation has not been released.
The sergeant-at-arms ensures the house and its members are protected during sessions, while the legislative clerk helps direct and administer the legislative assembly.
