The skies above the Cowichan Valley have finally opened up and recent rainfall is starting to resolve some of the problems caused by this past summer’s drought.
The coordinator of the Cowichan Watershed Board is Rodger Hunter.
He says the rainfall has had an impact on the fish in the Cowichan River.
Hunter says the numbers tabulated as of Friday include 347 Coho adults and 341 Jacks as well.
Last week, the Municipality of North Cowichan downgraded its water use restrictions from stage three to stage one.
