North Cow/Duncan RCMP could have new home by 2017

The head cop at the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment says in a perfect world they will have a new home by 2017.
JUICEFM spoke with inspector Ray Carfantan and he told us there is dialogue between local government and the RCMP about building a new station.
He says he has given the municipality some numbers on what kind of space the Mounties need and now it’s up to council to figure out a design that would fit the community.
Carfantan adds the building would also function as a public space where people could organize group functions.
