Bull Elk Carcass Discovered in Lake Cowichan area

The BC Conservation Officer Service is investigating a case of elk poaching in the Lake Cowichan area.

The bull elk is believed to have been killed about five kilometres east of Lake Cowichan on Highway 18 on either December 27 or 28.

Much of the animal’s carcass was left to waste.
