Suspect charged in North Cow assault on Halloween morning

The suspect in an alleged assault that took place last Friday in North Cowichan is now facing charges.
Police say the suspect, who will remain in custody until the first week of next month, and the victim are not Cowichan Valley residents and their names are not being released at this point in time.
RCMP say they were called to Stoltz Road in the earlier hours of the morning and arrested the suspect at the scene.
They add the victim is still being treated for her injuries at Victoria General Hospital.
