Cross on Mt. Tzouhalem knocked down during wind storm

The cross on Mt. Tzouhalem was knocked down during Thursday’s wind storm.

According to a message on a social media site, the cross fell about 30 meters down the face of the mountain and is now in a sloped gully.

Last month, JUICE FM was contacted by a concerned citizen who noticed the welds at the base were broken and the concrete that was holding the installation down was cracking and coming off.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada owns the land where the cross use to reside on and were scheduled to inspect the installation following the report.
