Duncan council race heating up with elections around the corner

There are 14 candidates gunning for six council seats in Duncan when the municipal elections roll around a week from Saturday.

George Nielsen is vying to be one of the decision makers in the municipality for the next 4 years.

He says his background as a certified management account can help shake things up in the next term.

Nielsen will be running against incumbents Sharon Jackson, Michelle Bell, Michelle Staples, Joe Thorne, Martin Barker and Tom Duncan as well as Bobby Cole, Roger Bruce, John Horgan, Katelyn Beale, John B. Garrison, Gordy Heppell and Travis Peterson.
