Remembrace Day ceremonies draw larger than usual crowds

Yesterday’s Remembrance Day ceremonies drew large crowds, and in a lot of communities people are saying it was a near record turn-out.

In Duncan there was little doubt among the crowd that the attacks last month that killed Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent were part of the reason more people came.

There was also heightened security in many places, especially Ottawa, where the ceremonies at the National War Memorial drew around 50-thousand people.
