North Cowichan mayoral race heating up

Three candidates are vying for the chance to be the mayor of the Municipality of North Cowichan for the next four years.
Residents will vote tomorrow for one of Jon Lefebure, John Korey or Damir Wallener.
Incumbent Lefebure served as the mayor from 2002 until 2008 and more recently was re-elected in 2011.
He says this time around the campaign has a different feel to it.
Wallener, a computer engineer, says it’s all about open communication between local government and citizens.
Koury says his experience on North Cow’s council will pay dividends should he be elected as mayor.
