Cause of fire on Herd Road in North Cowichan under investigation

The cause of a fire that burned down a wooden cottage in North Cowichan over the weekend is still being looked into.

The blaze on Herd Road early Saturday morning took hours to put out by more than 20 firefighters using five trucks.

There was nobody inside the cottage at the time of the fire and the cost of the damage is not known at this point in time.
