A Cowichan Valley newspaper outlet might not be sending out their papers this week or beyond because of a strike.
The union representing 12 employees at the Cowichan News Leader Pictorial and their employer, Black Press, are at odds over a wage structure.
Peter McQuade is a national representative with Unifor.
He says the ball is in Black Press’s court.
The paper sends out 22,000 copies on Wednesday and another 24,000 on Friday.
Management wasn’t able to comment on how the strike would impact circulation.
