Mount Washington delaying opening day

The lack of snow is forcing Mount Washington to delay the opening of their winter season. The alpine resort was supposed to fire up the chairlifts on Friday but the weather isn’t cooperating.

Don Sharpe is the Resort’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Sharpe says they’ve been discussing the idea of investing in some snow making equipment for the resort, but no final decisions have been made. He says they’ll be ready when enough snow does finally hit the mountain.

Sharpe says several wet weather systems are headed for the coast over the next seven to 10 days, which will hopefully mean plenty of snow for Mount Washington.
