Island Health releases drinking water report

Mid Island MHO Dr Paul Hasselback says they wanted to see how much progress there’s been since BC adopted the Drinking Water Protection Act in 2001.

Mid Island MHO Dr Paul Hasselback says they wanted to see how much progress there’s been since BC adopted the Drinking Water Protection Act in 2001.


Hasselback says the report makes 32 recommendations to ensure the nearly-900 water systems on the Island are up to snuff, with a focus on smaller systems with fewer than 300 connections.
