Homes searched in Ladysmith & Nanaimo

The Vancouver Island Emergency Response Team was called to Nanaimo today to search a home in the 600 block of Harewood Rd.

Nanaimo RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien says a home in Ladysmith on prospect Drive was also searched with help from the ERT.

Two men and two women in Nanaimo and one woman in Ladysmith were arrested.

O’Brien says chemicals, which they suspect were being used to make drugs, are being removed from both homes.

He says there will be a number of police cars on scene for the next several hours. O’Brien says they don’t want neighbours to be concerned.
