North Cow's new council meets for first time; Lefebure new CVRD chair

A busy day for mayor Jon Lefebure.
Wednesday’s inaugural council meeting saw the return of North Cowichan’s incumbent political leader and councillors Al Siebring and Kate Marsh.
Lefebure says there are a bunch of new faces on council that will help shape the future of the municipality.
Tom Walker also joins Douglas, Maguire and Behnsen on the new council.
Chief Chip Seymour of the Cowichan Tribes attended the ceremony.
In addition, Lefebure also added another title to his resume as he became the new chair of the CVRD after being elected at the inaugural board of directors meeting to replace the departed Rob Hutchins.
