Five recreational activity providers in the Cowichan Valley have received a $25,000 grant from RBC Royal Bank.
The Island Savings Centre’s manager John Elzinga says in addition to that facility, Ladysmith Parks and Rec, North Cowichan Parks and Rec, South Cowichan Rec and Cowichan Lake Rec will be sharing the money which will be used to promote fitness for kids.
Elzinga says KidSport Cowichan, School District 79 and Our Cowichan Communities Health Network will help deliver the region wide service though education and participation.
