RCMP stepping up efforts to stop impaired drivers in Cowichan Valley

If you plan to drink this holiday season have an alternate plan to get home that doesn’t involve getting behind the wheel.
Cpl. Jon Stuart is with the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment.
He says more police will be on roads to make sure those who drink and drive are caught, to protect people from impaired drivers and to discourage people from driving if they are intoxicated.
Stuart says there any many alternate ways to get home including taking a cab, walking or having a designated driver.
