Islands Trust Council elects Luckham to be new chair

The Islands Trust Council has elected a new chair.
Peter Luckham from the Thetis Island Local Trust Area will be the head of Islands Trust until 2018.
He says there are three vice-chairs joining him on the executive committee.
The Islands Trust is a federation of special-purpose local government bodies that represent 25,000 people living in the area and another 10,000 non-resident property owners.

It includes 13 major islands and more than 450 smaller ones between the mainland and southern Vancouver Island.
