Third wave of storm system on its way

We’re getting a bit of a break from the big storm system that started rolling in from the Pacific on Monday.

But Jennifer Hay of Environment Canada says says the system has been behaving pretty much as forecasters expected when they told the public to brace for an “an extraordinary 3 to 4 day rain event”. She says the third, and final, wave will roll in Thursday afternoon.


Hay says it’s a little to early at this point to tell if the winds will be strong enough to trigger a fresh round of weather warnings. She also says the intensity of the storms hasn’t been that unusual, but getting three so close together is.
